Punch Brothers
The Punch Brothers, led by mandolinist Chris Thile, bring their twentieth-anniversary tour to Brno with new material and a refreshed lineup featuring violinist Brittany Haas.
Brittany Haas is an American fiddler working across old-time, bluegrass, and chamber music. She built her reputation through years of touring with Crooked Still and the Dave Rawlings Machine, and in 2023 joined the Grammy-winning Punch Brothers as their fiddler, replacing founding member Gabe Witcher. A Princeton graduate in Evolutionary Biology, she released her debut solo album at seventeen and also leads the instrumental quartet Hawktail.
Punch Brothers launched a 64-month North American tour in support of their new album, featuring stops at Carnegie Hall and Ryman Auditorium.
Punch Brothers announced the release of the album The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers (July 24, 2026, Nonesuch Records) - the band's first purely instrumental album and also their first with Haas.
Haas received the Eisenson Family Prize for American Roots Music, awarded annually by Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Hawktail released the album Väsen & Hawktail in collaboration with Swedish folk group Väsen.
Haas became the new violinist for Punch Brothers, replacing founding member Gabe Witcher.
