Billy Cobham is a Panamanian-American jazz and jazz-rock drummer, composer, and bandleader. He rose to prominence as a founding member of the Mahavishnu Orchestra and through his solo debut Spectrum (1973), a landmark jazz fusion record. He has collaborated with Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, and Carlos Santana, and is widely admired for his virtuosic technique and polyrhythmic style.
