KUFER ROCK II
The second edition of the rock festival KUFER ROCK showcases nine bands including BIDON, BLOODY OBSESSION, STS, MESSALINA, DOUPOV, FJETEV, SEPPUKA, Oldřich Volný and his band, and ALCOHOL.
Bidon is a rock band from Jablunkov, Czech Republic, active since 1970 - making them one of the longest-running rock acts in the country. Their sound draws on white blues, beat music and early-1970s classic rock, with a mix of covers and original Czech, dialect and Polish lyrics. During the communist normalization era they were forced to rename themselves POLOM to pass mandatory auditions, though local audiences always knew them as Bidon. For their 50th anniversary they released the compilation CD Jubileum, with the town of Jablunkov co-sponsoring a vinyl edition.
The band Bidon celebrated its 50th anniversary with a jubilee concert at the Rokáč club in Jablunkov - an event postponed by a year due to the pandemic.
The city of Jablunkov, as a sponsor, participated in the production of a CD and vinyl record of the band Bidon.
The band released a CD RETRO with 19 hits from the 70s and 80s and celebrated 45 years of existence in Jablunkov; the city awarded it a prize.
