Bester Quartet is a Polish ensemble working at the crossroads of klezmer and avant-garde music. They debuted in 2000 under the name Cracow Klezmer Band with the album De Profundis on John Zorn's Tzadik label. Their music draws on Eastern European Jewish tradition while pushing it into unconventional, experimental territory.
