About

B4 is a Czech group working across improvisation, psychedelia, krautrock, noise and jazz, with a particular ear for the sonic legacy of the former Eastern Bloc. They formed in 1998 at a festival in Turnov as a last-minute stand-in for a missing band, with David Freudl, Tomáš Procházka and Leoš Kropáček at the core. Often cited as the first post-revolution Czech band to consistently explore krautrock, they build their sound around vintage analogue organs, synthesizers and tape echo.
