Andreas Varady (born 1997 in Rimavská Sobota, Slovakia) is a jazz guitarist from a Hungarian Roma family who grew up in Ireland. Self-taught under his father, bassist Bandi, he never attended music school. At thirteen he became the youngest headlining artist at Ronnie Scott's in London; in 2012 Quincy Jones spotted him at the Montreux Jazz Festival and signed him to his management. He went on to record for Verve and collaborate with George Benson, Gregory Porter and Roy Hargrove, and in 2023 won the Austrian Ö1 Jazz Scholarship.
In 2025, Varady released the album Return of the Buffalo on the Origin Records label, accompanied by a series of singles including 'No Limits', 'Voices' and 'A Feeling'.
In April 2024, the album Sunrise was released - the result of the Ö1 Jazz Scholarship - on which Varady is accompanied by his brother Adrian Varady on drums and pianist Danny Grisset.
In February 2025, Varady performed at the Bratislava bar NuSpirit with special guest, Irish drummer David Lyttle.
In April 2023, Varady received the Austrian Ö1 Jazz Scholarship, which includes two years of study at Jam Music Lab in Vienna and recording an album on the Quinton Records label.
