Andreas Varady Trio

Andreas Varady comes from a Hungarian Roma family in Slovakia, grew up in Ireland, and has been playing guitar since age four. After two years of busking, he was discovered by drummer and producer David Lyttle, who produced his debut album "Questions" (2010). At thirteen, he became the youngest headliner at London's Ronnie Scott's club, and at the Montreux Jazz Festival (2012) he caught the attention of Quincy Jones - shortly after, he signed with the Verve label.

He recorded his debut album in Los Angeles with numerous world-class musicians and opened shows for Quincy Jones and George Benson. He has also collaborated with Gregory Porter, Roy Hargrove, and Mary J. Blige. In 2018 he released the acoustic album "The Quest"; his fifth album "Sunrise" (2024) was created with Adrian Varady, Danny Grissette, Doug Weiss, and Bernhard Wiesinger.
