An Index of Metals is an audiovisual work by Italian composer Fausto Romitelli, completed shortly before his death in 2003. It runs about an hour and combines electric guitar, ensemble, and electronics with psychedelic video projections by Paolo Pachini. Drawing on rock textures and spectral technique, it is widely regarded as Romitelli's final testament.
