Alfa Mist is a London-based pianist, producer and composer who works at the intersection of nu-jazz and hip-hop. He came to the piano through sampling - wanting to understand the harmonic structures of tracks he was flipping. His records, from debut Antiphon (2017) to the critically praised Variables (2023), blend brooding grooves with open-ended jazz improvisation.
