About

Album is a Czech bluegrass band from Chomutov, active since 1986. Founded in Most as a trio by mandolinist Petr Gärtner and dobro player Zdeněk Lucák, the group relocated to Chomutov after a year and gradually honed its bluegrass sound. Their setlist draws on modern and traditional American bluegrass sung in both Czech and English, with rock and pop covers thrown in for good measure. Alongside regular appearances at Czech festivals such as Banjo Jamboree and Bluegrass Marathon, the band has performed in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, Denmark and Lithuania.
