Prague Zoo, opened on 28 September 1931, spreads across 58 hectares of hilly terrain in the Troja valley. Its 150-plus exhibitions include the Indonesian Jungle, the Valley of the Elephants and the Gobi display. The zoo is internationally recognised for its conservation work, particularly the breeding of Przewalski's horses and its reintroduction programme launched in 2011.
