Safari Park Dvůr Králové is one of the largest zoos in the Czech Republic, founded in 1946. Since the late 1960s it has specialised in African animals and holds the largest collection of African ungulates in Europe. Visitors can drive through the safari section in their own car or by safari bus. The complex also includes a gallery of paintings by Zdeněk Burian and an okapi pavilion – the only breeder of this species in Central Europe.
