Doksky Castle

Doksy

About the venue

A Renaissance château dating from the late 16th century, built by Jan z Vartenberka and later owned by the Waldstein family from 1680 until 1945, when it was confiscated. The building was gradually remodelled in Baroque and then historicist styles. Since 2015 it belongs to the town of Doksy; after reconstruction it houses a tourist information centre, the municipal library and the Čtyřlístek museum. A visitor circuit on the history of the Waldstein-Vartenberg family opened in 2020 with multimedia features, and since 2023 the west wing holds an exhibition of vintage motorcycles.
