Zámecký Park Telč

Telč

About the venue

The castle park in Telč dates back to the 16th century, laid out on the site of a former pheasantry to the northwest of the Renaissance château, and later reshaped into an English landscape park. Across its roughly six hectares grow rare native and exotic trees - Turkish hazel, Canadian hemlock and red oak among them. The Telč stream, linking the Ulický and Štěpnický ponds, winds through the park and is crossed by several stone footbridges. A classicist greenhouse from the first half of the 19th century, listed as a cultural monument, stands in the northwestern corner.
