About the venue

Státní zámek Telč is a Renaissance château on náměstí Zachariáše z Hradce, on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1992. The original Gothic castle was rebuilt in the mid-16th century by Zachariáš z Hradce with the help of Italian masters; the ornate Renaissance halls with coffered ceilings and the private apartments of the last owners, the Podstatzky-Liechtenstein family, have survived intact. Visitors can explore several guided tours, a castle museum and a gallery of paintings by Jan Zrzavý; the grounds include a French garden and an English landscape park with an orangery.
