About the venue

The castle garden in Mikulov is one of the largest hilltop-castle garden complexes in the Czech Republic. It spreads across a series of terraces around the rocky Castle Hill, running along the eastern and southern wings of the château. Founded at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries under the Dietrichstein family, the garden fell into neglect after World War II and was extensively restored in 2014-2015 to reflect its early Baroque character. Today it features herb beds, a rose garden, a garden for the visually impaired, a green maze, and open-air spaces used for small-scale cultural events.
