Silver Lake

Opava

About the venue

A natural swimming lake in the Kateřinky district, formed when a gypsum quarry flooded - hence its local nickname Sádrák. The lake stretches roughly 600 × 200 metres and reaches 18 metres at its deepest. Grassy banks run around the perimeter, and the site has beach volleyball, discgolf, a snack bar and parking. Fishing goes on year-round; swimming in summer. Entry is free and there is no lifeguard on duty.

The area is freely accessible year-round
