Střední průmyslová škola dopravní in Plzeň is a regional vocational school with roots going back to 1967, formed by the gradual merger of several Plzeň trade schools. Today it is the largest school of its kind in the Plzeň Region, with around 1,500 students. Teaching takes place across two campuses - in Lochotín (Karlovarská) and in Křimice - and covers both school-leaving programmes such as Autotronics, Transport Operations and Economics, and apprenticeship trades ranging from car mechanic to auto painter. The school runs its own dormitories with over 800 beds and two canteens.
