Morality Above All
A comedy staged on the castle courtyard by the Ty-já-tr theatre company, featuring a traditional ritual for all audience members.
The Renaissance chateau on the southwest edge of Třeboň's historic centre is one of the largest castle complexes in the Czech Republic, with more than a hundred residential rooms. The Rožmberk family held it from 1366, and after a fire in 1562 Vilém and Petr Vok of Rožmberk had Italian architects rebuild the old fortress into a Renaissance residence. From 1660 it passed to the Schwarzenbergs, who used it as their Christmas retreat. Now administered by the National Heritage Institute, it offers three tour routes, a chateau park, and the House of Nature of the Třeboňsko region exhibition.
