The Regional Museum in Žatec is based in the town's historic centre and covers the history of the Žatec area from prehistory to modern times. Its permanent displays focus above all on hop growing - the craft that put this region on the world map - alongside archaeological finds from the surrounding area. The museum also runs temporary exhibitions and educational programmes.
