Amateur theatre actors present costumed night tours of the castle, exploring the travel adventures of its final aristocratic owners.
The courtyard of the baroque state castle of Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, rebuilt in its current form between 1700 and 1737 to designs by Austrian architect Jakob Prandtauer. The castle is a national cultural monument administered by the National Heritage Institute (NPÚ). It was once a major centre of musical life - kapellmeister František Václav Míča premiered the first Czech opera here in 1730. The courtyard hosts the annual International Music Festival of Petr Dvorský and other cultural events.
