Cold Steel

The exhibition "Cold Steel" presents approximately one hundred artifacts of cold weapons from the museum collections of Ostrava, Opava, and Český Těšín. Compiled by historian Martin Krůl, the exhibition traces the development of cold weapons from ancient times to the modern era, showcasing their evolution in materials, types, and uses.

The display includes long weapons (swords, cutlasses), short weapons (daggers, knives), and Oriental pieces from the museum's collections, such as kilij, flyssa, and yataghan. The exhibition also features polearms like halberds, spontoons, and scythes, as well as examples of protective armor. The exhibition is held in the Museum of Three Borders in Jablunkov, located in the heritage-protected Princely House on Mariánské náměstí. The building is wheelchair accessible.
