Exhibition of Paintings - Angelic Touch
An exhibition of paintings by Ivana Nováková at the Netolice Museum, with a guided tour by the artist in August.
The town museum occupies the so-called Rosenberg House - the best-preserved Renaissance building on Netolice's main square, with roots going back to the 15th century. Its collections grew from an 1893 ethnographic exhibition and the bequest of mayor and lawyer JUDr. Otakar Kudrna (1853-1940), who left the house and his extensive private collections to a foundation. Nine exhibition halls cover the folk culture of the Netolice region - embroidery, folk costumes, a 19th-century peasant room and a weapons collection - and the museum holds the second-largest postcard collection in Bohemia, with over 170,000 items. The town's information centre shares the building.
