About the venue

The Bedřich Smetana Museum occupies a Neo-Renaissance building on the Vltava embankment, facing the Old Town Bridge Tower. Its permanent exhibition traces the life and work of the founder of Czech national music, covering everything from his piano compositions to operas such as The Bartered Bride and Má vlast. The collections include personal belongings, manuscripts and period documents.
