Lieder Society presents a song recital celebrating the double anniversary of Clara and Robert Schumann. Two vocal duos will bring to life the story of this artistic couple: soprano Markéta Klaudová with pianist Zdeněk Klaud and baritone Radek Martinec with pianist Filip Martinka.

The programme features the iconic cycle "A Woman's Love and Life", Clara's cycle "Six Songs from Jucunda" and Robert's first Liederkreis, which he dedicated to Clara as a wedding gift.

The Bedřich Smetana Museum occupies a Neo-Renaissance building on the Vltava embankment, facing the Old Town Bridge Tower. Its permanent exhibition traces the life and work of the founder of Czech national music, covering everything from his piano compositions to operas such as The Bartered Bride and Má vlast. The collections include personal belongings, manuscripts and period documents.
