Minorit Opava occupies a historic Minorite friary on Masarykova třída, with origins dating to around 1234. Over the centuries the building served as a regional court, military hospital and archive before returning to the order and reopening as a multi-purpose cultural venue. It hosts balls, concerts, conferences, exhibitions and weddings, with a large hall for up to 250 guests and several smaller spaces. The complex also includes a monastery café and a public garden.
