The Sokolov Municipal House of Culture (MDK) is housed in the historic Miners' House, built in the 1920s as a cultural venue for the town's growing mining community. Run as a city-funded organisation, it hosts dozens of events throughout the year - theatre performances, film screenings, concerts and balls. The building contains the Sokolov Municipal Theatre with a 600-seat hall, as well as the local tourist information centre.
