Exhibition of Student Works in Collaboration with KOVO Union
Exhibition of student works created in collaboration with the KOVO union at the Lidice Art Collection.
The Lidická sbírka umění (Lidice Art Collection) is part of the Lidická galerie, administered by the Lidice Memorial. It was founded in 1966 at the initiative of British physician Sir Barnett Stross, who called on artists worldwide to donate works as a gesture of solidarity with the victims of Nazi terror. More than 300 pieces arrived within a short time, including works by Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys and Sigmar Polke. Since 2003 the permanent display has been housed in the former community cultural centre in the heart of Lidice, complemented by temporary exhibitions and sculptures in the adjoining garden.
