The glass colonnade at the heart of Poděbrady's spa park was built in 1938 to a design by Professor Libenský, above a mineral spring that is still active and open for tasting. A congress centre has stood on this site since 1908, with two large halls, a restaurant and a foyer. Concerts, theatre performances, balls and open-air festivals make it the main venue of the Poděbrady Municipal Cultural Centre.
