Beata Hlavenková
Pianist and composer Beata Hlavenková performs her original work spanning jazz, contemporary classical music, and singer-songwriter traditions in the acoustically perfect Sedlec Cathedral.
A baroque pilgrimage church on the village green of the Sedlec district, built between 1738 and 1749 to a simplified design by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. The interior features ceiling frescoes by Elias Dollhopf (1740-1750) and a well-preserved 1754 baroque organ with rococo decoration. For centuries the church drew pilgrims on St. Anne's Day; today it also hosts benefit concerts and cultural events organised by the Society for the Rescue of the Church.
