About the venue

The parish church of St. Josef is a classicist building from 1823-1830, erected on the site of an older cemetery church of St. Nicholas documented since 1447. Its tower, together with the tower of the Old Castle, defines the town's skyline. The organ dates from 1748 and came from the workshop of Brno organ-builder Anton Richter. The church is one of only two in the Brno diocese dedicated to St. Josef.
