The Prague Congress Centre (originally the Palace of Culture) is the largest congress centre in the Czech Republic, opened in 1981 in Prague 4-Nusle near Vyšehrad metro station. The neofunctionalist building offers over 70 halls with a total capacity of 9,300 persons; the main Congress Hall seats 2,764 and its acoustics rank among the best in the world. The venue hosts international congresses, conferences, concerts, balls and cultural events.
