Jimmy Carr is a British-Irish stand-up comedian born in London in 1972, whose deadpan delivery and rapid-fire one-liners have made him one of the world's best-selling live comedy acts. In 2015 he became the first British comedian to sign a Netflix stand-up deal, going on to release four specials, most recently Natural Born Killer (2024). On British television he is best known for hosting 8 Out of 10 Cats and Big Fat Quiz, and since 2025 he has hosted the competition format Last One Laughing for Amazon Prime Video.
Amazon Prime Video confirmed the third season of the show Last One Laughing with Jimmy Carr as host; the Halloween special premieres on October 23, 2026.
The second season of Last One Laughing premiered on Prime Video on March 19, 2026; the first season won a BAFTA award for best entertainment program.
In December 2025, the film Fackham Hall premiered in cinemas in the USA and Great Britain, which Carr co-wrote and in which he played a small role of a priest.
Carr's YouTube channel exceeded 1.5 million subscribers and became the most-watched channel of the British comedian on the platform.
The first season of the British version of the show Last One Laughing, hosted by Carr, launched on Amazon Prime Video; the show received significant critical acclaim.
