About the venue

Kolínská řepařská drážka is a narrow-gauge railway in the Kolín-Sendražice district, built in 1894 as the oldest sugar-beet railway in Bohemia. It originally carried beets to the Kolín sugar factory; after closure in the 1960s, volunteers restored it and regular service resumed in 2007. The 4.5 km line runs to Býchory station - the ride behind a steam or diesel locomotive takes about 50 minutes. The site includes a museum on the railway's history, a nature trail, and a children's park at the terminus.
