Maok - Vůně nekonečná
MAOK presents a meditative concert at Klášter Kladruby, where Santini's architecture creates exceptional acoustics. Afternoon monastery walks precede the evening performance, suitable for children aged 10 and up.
A former Benedictine monastery in Kladruby near Stříbro, founded in 1115 by Prince Vladislav I, and one of the most important medieval monuments in Bohemia. The centrepiece of the complex is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, rebuilt by Jan Blažej Santini Aichel in 1711-1726 in the Baroque Gothic style - the third largest church in the Czech lands. The New Convent was designed by Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. Two guided tours are available; in summer the monastery hosts the Kladrubské léto music festival and other cultural events.
