Lenka Filipová: Symphonic - River of Life
Czech singer Lenka Filipová presents her new concert series Symphonic – River of Life, featuring her greatest hits, new compositions, and Celtic ballads accompanied by guest musicians and a string octet.
Lenka Filipová (born 14 February 1954, Prague) is a Czech singer, chansonnier, guitarist and composer who debuted in 1981 with the album Zamilovaná. A graduate of classical guitar at the Prague Conservatory, she has built a career that blends pop and chanson with folk and classical influences, regularly placing in the top ten of the Czech Zlatý slavík poll and performing across Europe, Japan, the USA and Australia.
In April 2026, Filipova publicly announced that in autumn 2025 she suffered a ruptured blood vessel in her head, lost consciousness, fell down the stairs, and underwent emergency brain surgery; she plans to return to the stage from June 2026.
Lenka Filipova was inducted into the Anděl Award Hall of Fame in April 2026; due to health reasons, she did not attend the gala evening in person, and her daughter Lenny accepted the award on her behalf.
Upon her return to music, Filipova released the single Norske drevo, with music composed by Ondřej Soukup and lyrics written by Gábina Osvaldova.
For Filipova's seventieth birthday, Supraphon released a reissue of her debut album Zamilovaná on CD, digital, and vinyl - for the first time in four decades.
In 2024, Filipova performed a series of concerts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where she is among the most beloved Czech singers.
