About the venue
Kittelovo muzeum is housed in the historic log house known as „Burk" (No. 10) in Krásná, a part of Pěnčín municipality, about 5 km south-east of Jablonec nad Nisou. The interactive exhibition covers the life and healing art of the mysterious doctor Johann Josef Antonín Eleazar Kittel (1704–1783), nicknamed the „Faust of the Jizera Mountains", as well as folk medicine, herbalism, archaeology and geology. The complex includes a herb garden, an information centre, a café and a souvenir shop. The building is a listed cultural monument.
