About the venue

St. Anne's Chapel in Horní Údolí, part of Zlaté Hory, is the last surviving miners' chapel of the original four, built in 1890-1891 to replace an earlier wooden chapel that burned down. Miners prayed here before descending into the shafts, and the site was part of a pilgrimage complex on the slopes of Příčná hora. After decades of decay and two roof collapses, the Horní a Dolní Údolí association began restoring it in 2016; the chapel now has a distinctive partly glazed roof and hosts services, concerts and weddings.
