Jizera Mountains

Bedřichov

About the venue

Jizerské hory is a protected landscape area in northern Bohemia, stretching between Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou. Bedřichov, at over 700 m above sea level, is the main starting point for the Jizerská magistrála - a network of groomed cross-country ski trails covering more than 130 km. The famous long-distance ski race Jizerská 50 takes place here every winter; in summer the area draws cyclists and hikers. The village was founded in 1598 around a glassworks, and the remains of its furnaces are a listed cultural monument.
