About the venue

Křivoklát is one of the oldest and best-preserved royal castles in Bohemia, with roots going back to the 12th century. The Přemyslid dynasty used it as a hunting residence, and a later Gothic rebuilding gave it the form it largely retains today. Managed by the National Heritage Institute, the castle opens its interiors to visitors year-round, including a Gothic chapel and a medieval torture chamber.
