About the venue

Prague City Gallery (GHMP) is a cultural, educational and gallery institution founded on 1 May 1963. It focuses on Czech art from the 19th to the 21st century and manages a collection of over 15,000 works, including Mucha's Slav Epic and an extensive František Bílek collection. The gallery operates across seven venues in Prague, including the Gothic House at the Stone Bell, the Baroque Troja Château, and the House of Photography. It also cares for public sculptures, monuments and fountains throughout the city.

Acquisitions: 350 of 2171 at the Prague City Gallery

This exhibition showcases 350 works selected from 2,171 acquisitions made by the Prague City Gallery over fourteen years. Curator Magdalena Juříková presents a diverse collection spanning painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installations that document shifts in the contemporary art scene from established artists to emerging creators.
