Divadlo Lubomíra Lipského stands in Solní Street, in a former municipal salt warehouse that architect Stanislav Rokos converted in the neoclassical style and opened as the Národní dům in December 1896. The theatre kept the name Městské divadlo until 2016, when it was renamed after Pelhřimov-born actor Lubomír Lipský. The 332-seat auditorium was refurbished in the early 1970s, gaining red plush seats and glass-rod chandeliers by René Roubíček. The venue is run by the city's cultural organisation Kulturní zařízení města Pelhřimova.
