Architectural tour of a thoughtfully renovated two-generation home featuring period details, custom cherry wood furnishings, and elegant period rooms with distinctive character.
Brummel House on Husova třída 58 is a residential building redesigned in 1928-29 by architect Adolf Loos for merchant Jan Brummel and his family. The first floor preserves a unique two-generation apartment with built-in furniture, Canadian poplar root-wood panelling and a replica Provençal fireplace. The house has been a listed cultural monument since 2002 and has been open to the public as a house museum since 2015. In 2017 it was added to the international Iconic Houses database.
