About the venue

Břevnov Monastery is the oldest male Benedictine monastery in Bohemia, founded in 993 by Prince Boleslav II and Bishop Vojtěch (Adalbert). The current baroque complex was designed by Johann Blasius Santini-Aichel and Kryštof Dientzenhofer in the 18th century. The monastery remains an active monastic community and hosts cultural events, guided tours, and concerts.
