Ostende beach sits on the shore of the Great Bolevec Pond, part of a historic fish-pond system dating to 1460. The recreational area opened in 1921 and is now the most popular swimming spot in Pilsen - locals simply call it "Bolevák". Sandy beaches and a gently sloping bottom make it good for swimming, while floating pontoons of garapa hardwood serve sunbathers and paddleboarders. The site also hosts the Ostende autocamp with a restaurant and two yacht clubs.
