Bauhaus Women
Original title: Bauhausfrauen
- Genre: Documentary
- Country: Germany
- Runtime: 43 min
The names Walter Gropius, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer are known to everyone, but what about artist Friedl Dicker-Brandeis or textile artist Gunta Stölzl? Bauhaus was the home of the avant-garde and the cradle of modern architecture, yet it is primarily associated with male figures, and women are often overlooked, despite their undeniable influence. Director Susanne Radelhof tells the story of the famous art school with a turbulent fate from the perspective of personalities for whom the situation was even more complicated. The documentary is a tribute to the forgotten women of Bauhaus and shows their effort to assert themselves in fields dominated by men.

Friedl Dicker-Brandeis was an Austrian artist and educator trained at the Bauhaus. She worked in painting, graphic art, and textile design. During World War II she was imprisoned in the Theresienstadt ghetto, where she taught art to children. She was murdered in Auschwitz in 1944.
Gunta Stölzl (1897–1983) was a German textile artist and the only woman to hold the title of master at the Bauhaus. She directed the school's weaving workshop and profoundly shaped its approach to textile design, combining craft tradition with modernist principles.
