Michal Pavlíček, Rocker Version 7.0
- Genre: Documentary · Biography · Music
- Country: Czechia
- Runtime: 75 min
Michal Pavlíček is an exceptional creator who has probably already said a lot about himself. Instead of a conventional biographical portrait, director Michal Baumbruck offers a unique insight into the situation of a rock star and composer approaching his seventies. What energizes or conversely limits a successful musician, composer and virtuoso? What awaits him in this phase of life? Is creativity, inspiration and the drive to create inexhaustible? The camera captures Michal at a series of concerts shortly after he dealt with orthopedic surgery and returns to the stage. We follow how much effort it takes for him to present Pavlíček to his audiences throughout the republic as they know him. In further strands, the viewer closely follows the process of creating music for a theatrical production and the parallel emerging music for a Czech Television series, as well as the recording of another Pavlíček solo album, and also becomes a witness to crucial decisions Michal makes when he will be closing certain chapters of his life.
