🎬 Patrol

The Rama and Kriol communities are the indigenous inhabitants of the rainforest and descendants of African slaves from the colonial period. By canoe and on foot, they patrol the Indio Maíz nature reserve, searching for illegal settlers and attempting to prevent them from destroying the rainforest. Farmers working for wealthy cattle ranchers, however, make no secret of the fact that they have no intention of stopping the logging, as Nicaraguan beef is in high demand, especially in the USA. People, however, must make a choice: money, or life? Those for whom the rainforest is home have made their decision clear. A corrupt government and police ignore their pleas and refuse to negotiate, and so the locals attempt to achieve their goal in various other ways.
