Camilo de Castro Belli is a Nicaraguan journalist and documentary filmmaker. Together with Brad Allgood he directed Patrol (2023), following indigenous rangers in the Indio Maíz Biological Reserve as they fight illegal cattle ranching. The film won awards at Jackson Wild and Wild & Scenic festivals, but was banned in Nicaragua - and de Castro was stripped of his citizenship by the Ortega regime in 2023. His earlier co-directed film El canto de Bosawas was the most-watched national documentary in Nicaraguan history.
