Lumière, the Adventure Continues
Original title: Lumière, l’aventure continue
- Genre: Documentary
- Country: France
- Runtime: 103 min
The continuation of the film reveals another hundred films from the workshop of the Lumière brothers, all impeccably restored, and aims primarily to explore more deeply both the history of technological beginnings and to affirm the importance of the phenomenon of cinematography in the world. Following the great success and worldwide release of its film predecessor, this feature-length film will confirm to viewers without exception that the roots of the greatest and most beautiful works in the history of cinematography lie in its beginnings, which are intimately connected with France and at the same time are in the true sense of the word international. The soundtrack draws from the work of composer Gabriel Fauré, a contemporary of the Lumière brothers. The film was conceptually created by Thierry Frémaux, general director of the Lumière Institute and artistic director of the Cannes Film Festival, who also guides it as a narrator.
